Beginning the Process
1/16/07 - Carole orders information packet from Chinese Children Adoption International (CCAI)
1/21/07 - We start filling out the initial application for CCAI
1/22/07 - Han calls CCAI, and orders the information packet again (they didn't get the first request)
1/26/07 - Carole and Han order new passports
1/27/07 - We received application packet from CCAI
1/31/06 - Notarized affidavits of good moral character
2/1/06 - Mailed off application to CCAI
2/5/06 - CCAI called, they got the application and are emailing personal references for recommendations
2/17/06 - CCAI accepted our application!So begins the paper chase phase...

2/20/07 - Signed, notarized, and sent agreement forms for CCAI, paid first fee
2/22/07 - Received notice to download dossier packet...40+ pages!!
3/8/07 - Sent out our home study packet! (sans CVC's physical...still waiting on that)
3/9/07 - CCAI assigns us a caseworker
3/9/07 - We send our I-600A to Jacksonville
3/14/07 - First visit from social worker!
3/16/07 - CVC's physical done
4/11/07 - Second visit from social worker!
4/12/07 - Passports arrive
4/21/07 - Orientation at CCAI
4/23/07 - Get draft of home study
5/5/07 - Got signed home study, Alison notarized, and we sent packet to Talli for certification
5/10/07 - Get fingerprint invite
5/11/07 - Fingerprints done in Jacksonville
5/18/07 - Got I-171 !!!
!5/21/07 - Got I-171 notarized
5/22/07 - Certified docs get back from Talli, finally; Han drives to Talli to get the I-171 done
5/22/07 - Mailed all docs to Houston for authentication
5/31/07 - Received docs from Houston
6/1/07 - Sent dossier to CCAI Florida
6/4/07 - CCAI Florida completes critical review!
6/8/07 - CCAI Colorado gets dossier
6/26/07 - Dossier to China!
7/2/07 - Our LID
